Troubleshooting

A channel won’t play

Try another channel. If none play, check your subscription hasn’t expired and that the TV is online. If only one channel fails, it may be off air or temporarily down at your service.

A channel won’t play

The picture stutters or keeps buffering

Increase Settings › Playback › Buffer size, use a network cable or move closer to the Wi-Fi router, or try the Hardware+ decoder.

Picture stutters or keeps buffering

The sound is out of sync

If the sound comes before the picture, increase Audio delay in the player options (hold OK) or in Settings. Sound that lags the picture usually comes from the TV or soundbar; check its own AV sync setting.

Sound is out of sync

The guide is empty or wrong

Choose Refresh everything now in Settings › Playlists and wait for the guide to load. For a single channel, hold OK on it and use Assign EPG. If times are off by an hour or more, check your TV’s time zone.

The guide is empty or wrong

New channels from my service don’t appear

Refresh the playlist. Also check Channels & groups: the group may be switched off.

New channels don’t appear

Catch-up won’t play

Not every channel or service has catch-up, and archives only go back so far. Only programmes marked Catch-up available can be played.

A recording is missing or says “Didn’t record”

Check that Buna TV is allowed to set alarms, that the TV was on or in standby and online at the time, and that there’s free space where recordings are saved. If you were watching another channel, your plan may allow only one stream.

The app closed unexpectedly

Open it again. Buna TV shows a panel with details of what went wrong. A photo or screenshot of that panel is the most useful thing to send with a report.
