Buna TV Privacy Policy
- Buna TV has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.
- Your playlists, logins and viewing history stay on your device.
- Buna TV only connects to the TV services and network shares you add yourself.
- We, the developer, do not receive any of your data.
Who we are
Buna TV is an IPTV player for Android TV, Google TV and other Android devices, made by Syntabz Ltd ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@bunatvplayer.com.
Buna TV is a player only. It does not include, sell or recommend any channels, playlists or content. You add your own playlists from a TV service you subscribe to.
What stays on your device
Buna TV keeps the following only in its own storage on your device. None of it is sent to us.
- Playlist details you enter: playlist and TV guide addresses, and for Xtream Codes services your server address, username and password.
- The channel lists, TV guide, films and series downloaded from those services.
- Your favourites, custom groups, watch history, where you stopped in films and episodes, reminders and settings.
- Recordings, saved where you choose: on the device, a USB stick or an SD card.
- Your parental PIN, stored as a one-way hash rather than as the PIN itself.
- If you set up a network share for backups, its address and username, with the password encrypted using a key held by your device's secure key store.
- Details of any crash, kept on the device so the app can show them to you. They are not uploaded.
Buna TV turns off Android's automatic cloud backup, so this information is not copied to your Google account.
Who Buna TV connects to
Buna TV only connects to places you choose:
- Your TV services. To load playlists, the TV guide, channel logos, artwork and video, Buna TV connects to the addresses you entered and sends them the login you gave. How those services handle your information is covered by their own privacy policies.
- Your network share, if you set one up, to save and read backups.
- Other apps you choose. If you open a stream in another video player, or watch a trailer, Buna TV hands the link to that app (for trailers, YouTube). That app's privacy policy then applies.
Buna TV does not connect to any server run by us, and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services.
Backups
A backup contains your playlists, including their logins, together with your favourites, history and settings, so that a working setup can be restored. Backups are encrypted (AES-GCM) before they are written. You can protect a backup with your own passphrase; without one, Buna TV's built-in key is used, which stops casual reading but not a determined person. Backups are saved only where you choose: the device, a USB stick or your network share. Keep them somewhere private.

Purchases
If you buy Buna TV Max in the Google Play version, the purchase is handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details. Google tells the app only whether your purchase is active.
Children
Buna TV is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and it lets you lock channels and groups with a PIN.
Your choices
- You can edit or remove a playlist at any time in Settings.
- You can delete everything Buna TV has stored by clearing its data in your device's settings, or by uninstalling it.
- Backups and recordings you saved to a USB stick, SD card or network share stay there until you delete them.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, we have nothing to give you access to, correct or delete on our side. If you have a question about your privacy, contact us at support@bunatvplayer.com.
Changes to this policy
If Buna TV starts handling information differently, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches the app.
